We’re looking for a reliable and proactive VNA and Counter Balance Warehouse Operative to join our modern warehouse operation at Hams Hall. You’ll play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored and despatched safely, accurately and on time, while delivering a first‑class service to our customers. So you must have the right attitude!
You must have both VNA & CB to hit the £16 per hour. If only one licence of those two, then rate of £15 per hour.
Main responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
- Ensure deliveries are unloaded within given time scales and checked against purchase orders, reporting any errors to the admin team.
- Process customer orders, including to customer specific requirements and ensure timely despatch of stock
- Loading and unloading of imports and exports
- Ensure accuracy when loading vehicles, maintaining safe load standards
- Picking and put away of pallets in racking
- Deliver a service in line with business expectations
- Maintain good personal hygiene
- Report product safety incidents
- Watch for evidence of pests on site
- Ensuring all goods are loaded/unloaded in a timely manner.
- Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures.
- Using handheld scanners to record stock movements
- To adhere to company policies relating to the movement of goods/manual handling.
- Maintaining warehouse hygiene when required.
- Load and unload vehicles in a safe manner using manual handling or fork lift equipment
- Assist with picking, packing, goods in and goods out processing when required
- Assisting with stock investigations and customer stock takes
- Ensure the customer receives a first class service in all operational duties carried out
Experience Skills:
- Counter balance and VNA licences
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of scanning picks and put aways

Demonstrates knowledge of:

Experience of:
- Ideally 2 years’ experience of working in an agile warehouse environment with multiple customer requirements.
- Pallet network and groupage warehouse operations would be advantageous
- Import and Export warehouse operations (Desirable)

Working hours and Package:
Full-time permanent role on shift basis working 06:00 – 14:30 / 11:30 – 20:00hrs with 30-minute lunch break working Monday to Friday.
