Hours: 6:00pm – Midnight (5 shifts per week)
Weekend Pattern: Every other weekend off

At Sycamore Lodge Care Home, we are looking for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to become an important part of our leadership team. About the Role
Working 5 evenings per week (6:00pm – Midnight), you'll take responsibility for leading the care team during the evening shift, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and high-quality care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the evening care team.
- Administering medication safely and accurately.
- Delivering outstanding, person-centred care to residents.
- Ensuring care plans are followed and updated where required.
- Supporting residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
- Completing accurate electronic documentation and daily records.
- Communicating effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times.
- Leading by example and helping to create a positive, caring and professional working environment.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, infection prevention, health & safety and CQC standards.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent care and enjoys supporting and developing others.
Essential requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Medication Administration Training
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar leadership role within a care setting
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A caring, positive and proactive attitude.
- Good IT skills for electronic care recording.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
