We are a busy independent vehicle repair garage looking for a friendly organised and reliable Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to become a permanent part of our team.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working with people, can stay organised in a fast-paced environment and is willing to learn about the day-to-day operations of a workshop. Previous experience within the motor trade is helpful but not essential, as full support and training will be provided for the right candidate.
This role will consist of 3 days a week with the opportunity to become a full-time member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing incoming phone calls, customer enquiries, and workshop bookings.
- Greeting customers and providing a professional and welcoming front of house experience.
- Assisting with general administrative duties including paperwork, invoicing, filing and correspondence.
- Supporting the day to day running of the garage and assisting the wider team where required.
- Helping maintain accurate records and customer information.
- Assisting with parts ordering and stock management.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
The Ideal Candidate
- Punctual, dependable and professional.
- Friendly and confident when speaking to customers both in person and over the phone.
- Comfortable working in a busy environment and able to multitask effectively.
- Computer literate with good basic administrative skills.
- Previous customer service experience needed.
- An interest in cars or vehicle parts would be an advantage, although a willingness to learn is equally important.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
