Overview
We are seeking a Head of Leisure Operations to support the Assistant Director in leading and managing various leisure centres/facilities and staff in the provisional.
Our sports provision covers gym facilities, swimming, fitness classes, athletics, cycling, water sports, wellbeing programmes, sports pitches, and outdoor recreation, making it one of the main providers of community sport and physical activity in the London Borough of Redbridge.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead the centres and their team in operational delivery, health and safety, membership sales and service plan strategies
- To manage, develop and co-ordinate staff resources.
- To recruit and motivate the centre manager and facilities
- To undertake financial planning to meet expenditure/income targets
- To deputise for the Assistant Director of Sport & Leisure as required
Requirements:
- GCSE maths and English or equivalent
- Education to equivalent of degree level
- Experience in leisure centre or multi-site operational management
- Strong understanding of health and safety, safeguarding and compliance framework
- Maintenance planning or project co-ordination knowledge
- Leadership and flexibility
- Proficient in microsoft office
Pay: £59,796.00 per year
