Primary Teaching Assistant
Sense Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Leeds that is looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Educational, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
This is not a role where no two days are the same because that’s what every advert says, it’s a role where your ability to adapt, build trust and recognize small breakthroughs can have a lasting impact on a child’s education.

· Supporting small group interventions throughout the school day
· Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
· Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored support strategies
· Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
· Creating a calm and productive learning environment for the pupils you support
Who are we looking for?
We’re interested in hearing from people who are:
· Naturally proactive and able to think creatively when challenges arise
· Strong communicators who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
· Patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
· Motivated by seeing young people achieve goals, no matter how big or small
Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum qualifications required – A recognized Teaching Assistant qualification or a background in education or care (NVQ, CACHE, Degree or equivalent)
· Experience supporting children with SEND
· Passionate working with young children or adults with disabilities
Whether you’ve worked in schools, youth work, care settings, sports coaching, support work or similar environments, we’d love to hear from you.
