We are looking for a Part Time Yard Assistant to join our busy team at our head office branch in Rode. Nr Frome.
Exceptional customer service is at the forefront of this position and when not dealing with a customer ensuring the yard and warehouses are clean, tidy and presentable.
We are looking for a candidate with some previous experience in a similar role in either yard work or a warehousing background.
The position is physically demanding at times and a reasonable standard of education will be required. Good communication skills and the willingness to work as part of team are essential to this.
The job role will include assisting, in a polite and efficient manner all of our visiting customers with the loading of the materials that they wish to purchase, with other yard tasks as described by the branch manager or the yard supervisor.
There will be a need to use our mobile plant so a forklift and/or telehandler license would be preferable but not essential to the role, full training will given on site.
The job will be a Monday - Friday 07.30-1.30 and include Saturday mornings 08.00-12.00 . Minimum of 34 hours per week.
Additional hours will be available to cover absences and busier periods. Additional hours will be paid as overtime.
