About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and practical General Handyman/woman to support a lettings agency by attending residential properties and carrying out a range of routine maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, organised, and takes pride in keeping properties in good condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repair work across managed properties
- Secure and install items such as shelves, curtain rails, and fixtures
- Repair or replace door handles, locks, and similar fittings
- Undertake basic painting and decorating tasks
- Perform cleaning duties where required to maintain property standards
- Carry out re-grouting and minor cosmetic improvements
- Assist with moving and positioning furniture within properties
- Identify and report any larger maintenance issues requiring specialist contractors
Scope of Work:
This role focuses on general, non-specialist maintenance tasks. It does not include electrical work, plumbing, appliance repair, or other specialist trades, which will be handled by qualified contractors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in general property maintenance or a similar role
- Good practical skills and ability to use basic tools confidently
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Full UK driving licence (required)
