Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential assistance and guidance to individuals in need. This role involves working closely with children and vulnerable adults, fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being. Duties
- Offer one-to-one support to children and adults, helping them develop life skills and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and social engagement
- Implement tailored programmes that promote learning, development, and independence
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with individual care plans
- Engage in mentoring activities to encourage positive behaviour and self-esteem
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support
- Assist in organising activities or outings that enhance social skills and community participation
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Teaching experience or background is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature with a patient and understanding approach
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in health, social care, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: £13.00-£14.85 per hour
