Vehicle Damage Assessor
Chartwell - The Super Brand Bodyshop requires an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor/Estimator to replace a recently retired colleague. Part of the Steer Luxury division we are offering an exciting role with continued support from the division including technical training, brain storming meetings and brand awareness training.
Chartwell is a long-established accident repair centre founded in 1966, specialising in Luxury brand vehicles. Our gold standard service has allowed us to maintain great customer service, fantastic working relationships with work providers and a second to none reputation within the industry. As part of a large family of Luxury businesses with a customer first moto, we are always looking to innovate and improve whilst offering a great atmosphere to work in.
With the support of the team the VDA is required to put together damage assessments and retail assessments for work providers and customers. Using their experience of the repair process along with the manufacture’s methods, they must ascertain the best course of action for the customer and the business. You will need to assess the vehicle to make sure the vehicle returns to the customer in pre accident condition if not better. Using estimating systems such as Audatex and manufacturer’s portals you will build assessment, lease with customer, and negotiate with Insurance engineers.
Duties will include but not limited to.
· Ascertaining accident circumstances
· Leasing with the customer
· Creating assessments
· Dealing with total loss vehicles
· Undertaking relevant training including ATA, Audatex and Manufacturer training.
· Authorising supplimentaries
· Negotiating rates with none approved work providers
· Working closely with engineers whilst building positive relationships.
· Always promoting the brand
