Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintenance and repair, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves supporting the maintenance team in ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally, contributing to a safe and efficient workplace.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform welding tasks as required for repairs and modifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Provide electrical support, including basic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to assist with various maintenance tasks across the facility.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Offer excellent customer service when interacting with staff and other departments.
- Supervise junior staff or interns when required, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Daily maintenance task in Bedroom and other guest area within Hotel as reactive and requested.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles, with a strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with electrical systems and mechanical components is essential.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication within the team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks performed.
