Cattery Assistant
We are looking for a pro active member to join our team who is local to NG22 area (Ollerton, Edwinstowe, Retford etc). They must love and appreciate cats as this is the main focus of the job. This person must be able to understand and take instructions and work to a very high standard.
Purpose of the Job
They must be able to meet all of the care needs of our residents, including: small animals.
Main Tasks
- feeding cats and small animals
- administering medication when required (under supervision)
- cleaning of pens including litter trays, house, floor etc
- deep cleans
- setting the pens up
- kitchen duties, such as: washing, drying of bedding; dishwasher, loading and unloading and ensuring of a clean working environment
- recording of relevant animal information
- dealing with customers both face to face and on the telephone
Other Duties
- maintaining the cleanliness of airlocks and cattery areas
- replenishing food stock
- helping with deliveries
- maintaining grassed areas and other grounds areas
- to ensure the office, reception and shop area is kept clean and tidy
- To work as a team and share workloads but also to work alone and using initiative to get jobs done.
To undertake any other duties as required by the cattery management.
The hours are currently 16 per week, Candidate must be flexible to cover other shifts due to sickness or annual leave etc, and be available for weekend work
Salary is also dependent on age and experience.
Start date is to be as soon as possible.
