Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiter and Floor Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team at Gino's of Streetly, a premium independent restaurant in the heart of Streetly village. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant floor. Previous experience in a similar role, along with a passion for hospitality, is highly desirable. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the POS system and handle payments professionally
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow throughout shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
- Ability to perform basic food preparation and understand culinary processes is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to deliver exceptional guest services
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
