Duties
- Use TIG welding, welding, and other welding techniques to join metal components with precision and consistency
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication processes
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to meet project dimensions and tolerances
- Assemble fabricated parts into larger structures or systems according to design plans
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure adherence to safety standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience with TIG welding and welding techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control purposes
- Familiarity with assembly processes and mechanical components
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience working with sheet metal or in a fabrication shop is preferred
