Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Forklift Driver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move products within our facility. Your mechanical knowledge and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping and receiving processes. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport bail of clothing bags throughout the facility
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Perform routine equipment repairs and maintenance checks to ensure optimal functioning of machinery
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and organization in compliance with safety standards
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and documenting transactions
- Support warehouse operations through heavy lifting tasks and manual handling when necessary
- Conduct regular safety inspections, report hazards, and follow protocols to maintain a secure working environment
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse setting with a strong understanding of warehouse procedures
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues and performing basic repairs
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and documentation
- Ability to handle materials safely using proper lifting techniques and mechanical aids
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation
