Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. Duties
- Develop comprehensive estimates for mechanical and electrical systems based on project specifications, drawings, and scope of work
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis to ensure accuracy in budgeting
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during execution to ensure cost control
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, including scope of work, pricing, and timelines
- Identify potential risks or cost overruns early and recommend mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an M&E Estimator or similar role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in commercial or industrial projects
- Excellent skills in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present estimates clearly
