We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding to achieve desired results.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Transport materials and equipment safely to job sites using a reliable vehicle when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation of tools and materials between sites.
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and safety instructions clearly.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks including standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction painting environments.
- Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with different types of paints, wallpapers, surface preparation techniques, and basic carpentry skills.
