NO PREVIOUS MARTIAL ARTS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY
Full instructor training, ongoing support and class programmes will be provided. While martial arts experience is welcome, your attitude, reliability and ability to engage positively with children are more important.
THE ROLE
You will help deliver fun, energetic and structured martial arts classes for children and families. Depending on your experience and development, this may include:
- Supporting or leading weekly classes
- Teaching martial arts techniques and important life skills
- Helping students develop confidence, discipline, focus and resilience
- Creating a safe, positive and encouraging class environment
- Communicating professionally with parents and students
- Supporting gradings, championships and special events when available

CLASS INSTRUCTOR PATHWAY
Ideal for someone looking for a flexible and rewarding part-time position. You may teach one or more regular weekly classes, with the possibility of additional cover work and events.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY
For the right person who wants something more, there is the opportunity to complete further training, take responsibility for additional classes and potentially develop into a larger role within our growing organisation.
This could suit someone who feels ready for a change and wants to build a meaningful career helping children and families through martial arts.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident, friendly and enthusiastic
- Reliable, professional and well organised
- Comfortable working with children and families
- Able to motivate and inspire students
- Willing to learn and follow our established teaching programme
- Available during some evenings and/or weekends
- Able to travel reliably to class locations
Experience working with children, coaching, teaching, performing, fitness or martial arts would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
Applicants must be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and all required instructor training. A driving licence and access to transport are preferred due to class locations.
