Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to adults with diverse needs (CQC regulations). The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and personal development. Duties
- Offer personalised support tailored to each individual's care plans, promoting independence and social inclusion.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support clients in attending appointments, social activities, and community engagement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided, progress notes, and any incidents in line with organisational policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure cohesive care delivery.
- Drive clients safely to appointments or activities using company vehicles where necessary.
- Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with relevant professionals.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, recognising potential risks and acting accordingly.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adults requiring support is desirable
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients or attending community outings but not essential
- Knowledge of adult care practices is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are essential to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating care records are required.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals.
- Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including occasional weekend shifts if required.
