Qualifying Supervisor (QS)

About the Role
Signix is looking for a qualified and motivated Qualifying Supervisor (QS) to support our growing electrical operations team.
This role is responsible for maintaining electrical compliance, quality standards, and technical oversight across our domestic electrical works. Working closely with the Compliance Manager, you will review certification, carry out audits and inspections, provide technical support to engineers, and help ensure all works are completed in accordance with current regulations and industry best practice.
The position is predominantly home and office based, with travel required to undertake site inspections, engineer audits, and quality assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, check and finalise electrical certification.
- Support electrical compliance and quality assurance processes.
- Carry out site audits and inspections of engineers' work.
- Ensure installations comply with BS 7671 and relevant industry regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field engineers.
- Assist engineers with technical queries and job approval requests.
- Identify and address quality or compliance issues, working closely with the Compliance Manager.
- Complete audit reports and recommend corrective actions where required.
- Support continuous improvement of electrical standards and processes.
- Assist with Ministry of Defence (MOD) quotations during busy periods.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- AM2
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience within a Qualifying Supervisor (QS) role
- Experience auditing and inspecting domestic electrical installations
- Knowledge of social housing, local authority, or domestic maintenance environments

Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Previous experience within a Qualifying Supervisor (QS) role: 1 year (preferred)
- Knowledge of social housing and/or local authority: 1 year (preferred)
