As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for sales and business development, managing and growing the company's most valuable, high-revenue customer accounts. You will manage your own customer base, building strong relationships and delivering commercial success by providing the right products, solutions and services.
The primary goal of this role is to maximise customer retention while driving long-term, sustainable growth.
Core Objectives
- Customer Retention: Increase customer contract value across a portfolio of key accounts.
- Revenue Growth: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Strategic Alignment: Translate customer business goals into tailored solutions and long-term joint business plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales and growth opportunities across our range of steel products and services.
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Identify new project leads and expand the customer base.
- Deploy new business development initiatives.
- Oversee complex tenders and contract management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams.
Required Skills
- 3 to 5+ years' sales experience within the steel or industrial sector.
- Proven track record of managing key accounts.
- Very strong understanding of structural steel and related projects.
- Entrepreneurial, customer-minded and results-driven.
