Street Interviewer / Vox-Pop Content Creator
Location: London
Job type: Freelance, ongoing rolling contract
Schedule: One day per week
Pay: £300 per day
Expected start: As soon as possible
First campaign content: Live from September
About the Campaign
Maris Interiors designs offices around how people actually work.
We are producing an ongoing social media campaign focused on the everyday problems caused by poorly designed workplaces, including noise, lack of privacy, constant distractions, outdated premises and commutes that do not feel worthwhile.
Alongside client testimonials, practical guides, humorous content and problem-led social media posts, we want to capture real opinions from people working across London.
The Role
We are looking for a confident, warm and engaging Street Interviewer / Vox-Pop Content Creator to manage the street-interview element of the campaign.
You will approach members of the public, ask engaging questions about their workplaces and capture short, natural video responses that can be used across social media.
This is an ongoing freelance role rather than a one-off shoot. You will also support the production of short guide videos and follow-up campaign content.
You will manage the full filming process on each shoot day, including approaching participants, conducting interviews, filming, recording audio and obtaining consent.
Key Responsibilities
- Approach members of the public confidently, respectfully and professionally.
- Build rapport quickly and encourage natural, honest responses.
- Ask a short, pre-approved set of questions about office design and workplace experiences.
- Identify and capture engaging, memorable soundbites.
- Film high-quality vertical 9:16 social media content.
- Ensure footage is steady, well framed and suitable for editing.
- Capture clean audio using an external microphone.
- Manage street noise, lighting and backgrounds while filming.
- Obtain a signed consent and release form from every person filmed.
- Organise, label and deliver the strongest footage after each shoot day.
- Film across locations including Shoreditch, Soho, Camden and Canary Wharf.
- Be available to film during lunchtime and late-afternoon periods.
- Produce short guide videos using design input provided by Maris Interiors.
- Support the production of ongoing follow-up content.
