BID Manager
Location: Field Based role but must be able to access London Hub (SW8 1RL) as and when required.
Salary: Circa £45,000
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bid Manager to join our Bid Managementteam. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process for strategic international opportunities, producing high-quality written tender materials and coordinating cross‑functional input to deliver winning proposals.
This is a highly visible role within the organisation, suited to someone who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid Management & Delivery
· Lead the end-to-end bid management process for allocated opportunities, from qualification through to final submission, in line with company best‑practice bid procedures and governance requirements
· Manage multiple concurrent bid activities, ensuring deadlines, milestones, and submission requirements are met
· Act as the central point of coordination for all bid-related activity, maintaining momentum and accountability across the bid team
Bid Writing & Content Quality
· Produce and oversee the development of high-quality, compelling written tender responses for some of the organisation’s most strategic bids
· Apply best-practice bid writing techniques to ensure all submissions are clear, concise, customer-focused and benefits-led
· Develop persuasive executive summaries that clearly articulate win themes, value propositions and differentiators
Strategy & Planning
· Participate in bid strategy development, including analysis of client requirements, customer concerns, and key issues
· Contribute to the development of win strategies, value propositions and messaging aligned to client priorities
· Review marketing intelligence, lessons learned and feedback to continually improve bid approach and quality
Stakeholder Collaboration
· Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical, Operational, Legal and Finance teams to develop bespoke, high-quality proposals
· Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to gather, refine, and strengthen bid content while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
· Facilitate bid reviews and quality gates, ensuring senior stakeholder input and sign-off where required
Process, Systems & Content Management
· Play an active role in developing, managing and maintaining bid content libraries and the bid process framework
· Maintain accurate bid and customer information within the CRM system
· Support continuous improvement of bid management tools, templates and processes

Key Qualifications & Experience:
· Relevant professional experience in bid management, proposal management, commercial writing, or similar disciplines. Degree-level education may be advantageous but is not essential. Experience and transferable skills are equally valued.
· Proven bid management experience, ideally within a global or international context
· Experience leading large, complex bid opportunities
· Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
· APMP or similar bid management certification preferred but not essential
· Experience in project management, proposal writing, editing, formatting and presentation development
· Strong MS Office skills, particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
