Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment they walk in
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using clear communication and attentive listening skills
- Serve drinks and meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change using basic math skills
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing after service, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the front-of-house area
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome eager learners!
- Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure proper handling and serving of food and beverages - training will be given
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a lively setting
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling and order processing
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality principles such as courtesy, attentiveness, and professionalism
