Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part Time Deli Customer Advisor to join our team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections in the deli area
- Prepare a variety of food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Serve customers efficiently, ensuring prompt and courteous service
- Upsell additional products to enhance customer experience and maximise sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli counter and preparation areas
- Follow food safety regulations diligently, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure product availability throughout the shift
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate point-of-sale systems
- Assist in maintaining stock levels and rotating products appropriately
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers with a friendly and professional approach
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Kitchen or culinary experience will be considered a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
