Job Overview
We are seeking a self employed experienced solar electrician to join our team. You will be responsible for installations, maintenance, and repairs of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including solar panels, inverters, and wiring. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in using both hand and power tools.
You will ensure systems are installed safely and efficiently, adhering to electrical codes and industry standards. This role also involves troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues within solar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Mounting solar panels on rooftops and other structures, connecting them to electrical systems, and ensuring proper wiring and grounding.
Performing routine checks and maintenance on solar systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Diagnosing and fixing electrical problems within solar systems, including faulty wiring, inverters, or other components.
Conducting thorough tests and inspections to ensure solar systems meet safety standards and perform as designed.
Ensuring all installations and repairs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Identifying and resolving issues in solar PV systems, including those related to inverters, wiring, and other components.
Effectively communicating with clients, project managers, and other team members regarding installation progress, system performance, and any necessary repairs.
Maintaining accurate records of all work performed, including installations, repairs, and inspections.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
-A valid electrician's license is required.
-Specialised training in solar PV and battery installation and maintenance is required.
-Be able to sign off the AC Connection.
-A strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations is crucial.
-The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in solar systems is essential.
-Proven experience as a Solar Electrician or in a similar role is preferred.
-Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
-Familiarity with mechanical concepts related to electrical installations.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
