We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a part-time basis. Working 16-20 hours per week. Pro rata salary is £11,190.40 to £13,988.00. This role would suit someone who is not only confident in credit control, but also understands the importance of building strong, professional relationships with clients.

The role requires someone who can manage outstanding debt effectively while maintaining a positive, professional and customer focused approach at all times.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Chasing outstanding payments by telephone and email
- Maintaining accurate customer account records
- Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts
- Investigating and resolving same day account queries promptly
- Monitoring aged debt and producing regular reports
- Following up overdue invoices and escalating issues where necessary
- Working closely to support with the wider Finance team as required
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with clients
- Managing credit control in a professional and personable way, taking account of different client relationships and agreed payment terms
- Liaising with colleagues across the business where needed to help resolve payment issues
- Assisting with month-end procedures as required
- Supporting improvements to credit control processes and procedures
Key Qualities
The successful candidate will have:
- previous experience in a credit control role
- good working knowledge of finance processes and account reconciliation
- strong communication and negotiation skills
- good attention to detail and accuracy
- the ability to proactively manage their own workload and respond to urgent requests
- experience of using finance systems, Sage and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
- the confidence to adapt their approach depending on the client, the circumstances and the agreed payment terms
- a collaborative approach and the ability to work well as part of a small team

- Part-time hours of 16 - 20 hours per week to be worked over two or four days with some flexibility. Salary below is full time and will be pro-rata to hours worked.
