Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various components, primarily focusing on sheet metal and structural elements. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding and other welding techniques on diverse materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Fabricate parts and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components, ensuring precision and quality control.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG or MIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and tolerances.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of fabrication techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
