JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Commercial Director and working collaboratively with the Business Development Manager (BDM), the Internal Account Manager is the backbone of our commercial operations. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service, producing rapid and accurate quotes for our reactive supply chain, and acting as the internal point of contact for our global client base. The successful candidate will build strong, lasting relationships over the phone and via email, ensuring customer retention while expertly managing the daily administration of key accounts.
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
- Reports to: Commercial Director.
- Key Internal Relationships: Works in close partnership with the BDM to support revenue targets, as well as collaborating daily with Operations and Logistics to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Quoting & Commercial Support
- Prepare, format, and deliver highly accurate technical quotes to customers in a timely manner, responding to the fast-paced nature of emergency spare part requirements.
- Follow up on issued quotes to secure purchase orders, negotiating where necessary within agreed margin guidelines.
- Act as the dedicated internal point of contact for an assigned portfolio of B2B clients, addressing incoming queries, order updates, and technical requests promptly.
- Resolve any customer issues or supply chain delays with professionalism, liaising with the logistics team to provide accurate updates on dispatch and delivery.
Account Administration & CRM
- Process customer purchase orders accurately into the internal system, ensuring all technical and commercial details are correct before passing them to fulfilment.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of all customer interactions, quotes, and account changes within the company CRM.
- Actively qualify inbound leads, passing high-value or complex field opportunities to the BDM.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in an internal sales, account management, or B2B customer service role, preferably within a technical, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Communication: Exceptional telephone manner and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and manage customer expectations effectively.
- Commercial Awareness: High attention to detail with strong numerical skills; comfortable calculating margins and managing high volumes of quotes accurately.
- Team Player: Highly collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work seamlessly alongside field sales (BDMs) and operational teams.
- Organisation: Excellent time-management skills with the capacity to prioritise a busy workload in a reactive, emergency-supply setting.
- Technical Aptitude: Competent in using CRM software and Microsoft Office; comfortable learning basic technical product specifications to assist customers efficiently.

Pay: £25,420.00-£27,420.00 per year
