Are you an experienced Employment Lawyer with 3–5 years' PQE looking for your next career move?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Employment team in Marlow, working on a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters and providing strategic, commercially focused advice to a broad client base.
You'll join a close-knit and collaborative team with an excellent reputation for delivering considered, practical advice and achieving strong outcomes for clients.
The Role
You will handle a varied Employment caseload, advising clients across both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising employers and employees across a broad range of employment law matters
- Managing contentious employment matters and employment tribunal claims
- Advising on non-contentious employment issues
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and agreements
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance and performance matters
- Supporting clients with restructures, redundancies and organisational change
- Advising on settlement agreements and exits
- Supporting transactional and corporate matters where employment advice is required
- Providing strategic and commercially focused legal advice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Managing your own workload and ensuring excellent client service
- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team where appropriate
- Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Employment team
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a proactive and commercially aware Employment Lawyer who is confident dealing with clients and able to provide clear, strategic legal advice.
You will ideally have:
- 3–5 years' PQE
- Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious Employment Law matters
- Transactional employment experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong technical and drafting ability
- Excellent client management and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- The ability to manage your own caseload effectively
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team
- An interest in business development and developing client relationships
- A willingness to contribute beyond your immediate caseload and support the wider team
