Job Title: Cover Supervisor – Alternative Provision

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Cover Supervisor to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher and ensure a positive, supportive learning environment for our students.
This is a full-time role, working term-time plus 6 weeks to support the wider academy and professional development needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students during lessons, ensuring work is completed and behaviour expectations are maintained.
- Deliver pre-set lessons and activities across a range of subjects.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively and build positive relationships with students.
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in line with the Academy’s values.
- Record attendance, progress, and behaviour as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, mentors, and support staff to create a safe, engaging environment for all learners.
About You
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an Alternative Provision or SEN setting.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Calm, empathetic, and adaptable under pressure.
- Passionate about supporting students who may face barriers to learning.
- A relevant qualification or degree is desirable, but not essential – training will be provided.

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
