CNC Turner
Permanent | Full-Time | Day Shift
Pay: £20.00 per hour
We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well established engineering business on a permanent, full time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a brand new CMZ CNC lathe with Fanuc controls, producing high quality precision components to demanding tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate CNC lathes.
- Work with Fanuc controls and CMZ machinery.
- Manufacture precision turned components in a variety of materials.
- Work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Carry out tooling changes, offset adjustments and programme edits.
- Complete quality checks using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Ensure components meet required tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner.
- Strong programming, setting and operating experience.
- Experience using Fanuc controls.
- Ability to work independently from engineering drawings.
- Experience machining components to tight tolerances.
- Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Experience working with oil and gas components, offline programming or live tooling would be advantageous but is not essential.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am–1:00pm
Benefits
- £20.00 per hour.
- Overtime paid at time and a half for the first four hours.
- Overtime paid at double time thereafter.
