Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team at our Stroud Station branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Some 6am starts are essential for this position.
Lone working is required at this location.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Serve customers in a timely and friendly manner, taking orders accurately and handling transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, equipment, and seating spaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including food safety protocols.
- Food preparation tasks required, such as cooking pastries, making breakfast rolls, filled croissants and sandwiches.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Uphold the organisation’s brand image by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven Barista experience or background in food service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to serve customers courteously and efficiently, demonstrating strong serving skills.
- Basic food preparation skills to assist with additional menu items when necessary.
- Competence in basic maths for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
- Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.
