Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Semi Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a range of practical skills and be eager to develop further expertise within the industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various trades, contributing to diverse projects including carpentry, roofing, and general construction work. The successful applicant will work under supervision but is expected to demonstrate initiative and a strong work ethic. We can provide flexible working hours, due to certain projects or contracts can be weather dependant.
Duties
- Assist with carpentry, roofing, and masonry tasks as directed by senior tradespeople
- Support construction painting, plumbing, and electrical installations
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Contribute to fabrication tasks on-site, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Prepare work areas by cleaning and organising tools and materials
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from vehicles such as lorries or vans
- Support the team in maintaining project timelines and quality standards
Experience
- Full UK driving Licence preferred
- Previous experience in construction-related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools is desirable
- Familiarity with trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry will be considered an asset
- Experience with plumbing or electrical work is a plus but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different trades on-site
