Role Description
This exciting NEW role is Up to 37hrs, for a Sports Development Officer but also covering primary schools in Bolton and the surrounding areas. Salary £25000 - £28000 per annum pro rata depending on experience and hours. Will be expected to work some evenings. Ability to travel to different locations essential, driving preferred. Ability to work individually and part of a team. The Sports Development Officer will be responsible for planning and delivering Primary School PE to local Primary School as well as overseeing and implementing various Sports Projects in Schools, Holidays and the community working with our various partners.
The officer role will have various responsibilities such as line managing, project managing as well as develop new projects with our partners to evolve the business and generate participation and income. The Sports Development Officer will also engage in effective communication with participants, parents, and stakeholders to support development and promote enthusiasm for sport.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Football or Cricket Coaching (Club and Primary School Level)
- Experience and knowledge of delivering Physical Education and Sports Coaching
- Expertise in planning, marketing and delivering Sports Projects
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal abilities to motivate and engage effectively
- Good IT skills
- Certifications or qualifications in Cricket or Football eg NGB Level 2 or equivalent.
- Additional certificate or experience in Sports Coaching or Physical Education
- Other NGB qualifications or equivalent
- Proven experience in coaching or training individuals and teams
- Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging sporting environment
- First Aid certification and knowledge of safety practices
- Safeguarding children certification
- Enhanced DBS
