The HR Assistant administrative and coordination support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP). This role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth onboarding, compliance, and HR operations, supporting the development of a positive and efficient workplace culture from day one.
Main responsibilties:

Support the HRBP in delivering the HR plan and timelines.

Coordinate recruitment administration including interview scheduling, offer letters, and onboarding documentation.

Assist in the preparation and delivery of induction programs for new starters.

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies.

Support the implementation of HR systems and processes.

Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees.

Coordinate training schedules and maintain training records.

Assist with payroll administration and timekeeping data entry.

Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications.

Prepare reports and documentation as required by the HRBP.
Skills & Experience

Solid HR Background: Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or a fast-paced operational environment.

Process-Oriented: Strong understanding of core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.

Effective Communicator: Confident in engaging with employees and managers at all levels, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Project Support: Experience supporting HR initiatives such as new site openings, restructures, or high-volume onboarding.

Compliance Knowledge: Good working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies, and GDPR requirements.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRIS systems for data management and reporting.

Organised & Detail-Focused: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
