We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join the team at The Denby based in Huddersfield. If you’re creative, organised and passionate about bringing people together, this is an opportunity to make a genuine difference every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Unit Manager you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:
- Ensure that all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home, and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Residents.
- Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
- Assess social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents.
- Report any ill-health amongst Residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
- Ensure meals are of sufficient quantity and good quality, and that Resident’s dietary needs are met.
- Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Resident within the Home has an individualised Care Plan. Resident Care Plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis, or more frequently as and when required, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures
- Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Residents’ personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with Residents.

- Able to work flexibly across some evenings and weekends
- Previous experience in a similar role
- NVQ level 3 (or willing to work towards this)
