We are looking for an experienced Assistant Tax Compliance Manager to join our growing Tax Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional who enjoys managing compliance processes, supporting colleagues and building strong client relationships.
Working closely with the Tax Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the annual tax return programme and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of work across the department.
Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the management of our personal, partnership and trust tax return programme.

Managing your own portfolio of tax returns from preparation through to submission.

Monitoring deadlines and ensuring work is completed efficiently and within agreed KPIs.

Supporting the review of tax returns prepared by junior team members.

Liaising with clients regarding information requirements and tax payment reminders.

Identifying and communicating tax planning opportunities.

Supporting the ongoing management of Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax processes.

Assisting with process improvements and the annual tax programme review.

Responding to enquiries from prospective clients and preparing compliance fee quotations.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
We’re looking for someone who:

Holds an ATT and/or CTA qualification.

Has at least three years’ experience working within a Personal Tax environment.

Possesses strong technical tax knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Is highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Enjoys working collaboratively and supporting the development of others.

Has strong IT skills; experience with Iris software would be advantageous but is not essential.
