About the Role
We are looking for caring, reliable and flexible Weekend Care Assistants to join our community care team in and around Solihull B92.
As a Weekend Care Assistant, you will visit clients in their own homes, providing high-quality personal care, companionship and practical support. You will help clients maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing while providing the support they need throughout the weekend.
Previous care experience is not essential. We provide comprehensive training, online learning and supervised shadowing shifts with an experienced senior care worker, so you'll have the support you need to develop your skills and confidence.
Key Requirements
- Must live locally to Solihull B92 or the surrounding area
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car – essential
- Willing and able to provide care to both male and female clients
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must be able to start shifts from 7:00am
- Able to work a mixture of morning and evening shifts where required
- Flexible and willing to work at short notice when required
- Reliable, caring and committed to providing high-quality care
- Able to travel between clients' homes throughout your shifts

Main Duties & Responsibilities
As a Weekend Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Travelling to clients' homes throughout the day to provide care and support
- Supporting clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling
- Preparing meals and supporting clients with nutrition and hydration
- Administering or prompting medication in line with care plans, training and company policies
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry and shopping
- Supporting clients to attend appointments or access the community where appropriate
- Encouraging independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Monitoring and reporting any concerns or changes in a client's condition
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and infection-control procedures

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the community and is looking for regular weekend work, with the flexibility to start shifts from 7:00am.

Important Information
