We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Complex Care Support Worker to join a dedicated care team supporting a young man with complex health and care needs in his own home and within the community within the Eastbourne area.

About the Client
Our client is a sociable and engaging young man who has Angelman Syndrome, epilepsy, ataxia, severe learning disabilities and ADHD. Despite his complex needs, he enjoys living an active and fulfilling life and loves spending time out in the community. His favourite activities include swimming, bowling, visiting the arcade, relaxing in cafés while people watching, and listening to music, with a wide and varied musical taste. The successful candidate will also need to be comfortable around pets, as he has a dog who is an important part of his home environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support
- Supporting daily living activities and community access
- Monitoring and responding appropriately to seizures
- Administering medication
- Supporting with bowel management, including suppository administration
- Promoting independence, engagement, and wellbeing
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the client and their family
Essential Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have experience supporting individuals with:
- Complex care needs
- Learning disabilities
- Epilepsy and seizure management
Specialist Training Required
Experience and/or willingness to complete training in:
- Seizure management, including rescue medication administration
- Medication administration
- Bowel management (including suppositories)
