We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join our experienced kitchen team at The Beresford Arms, a beautifully refurbished country pub located in the heart of Whalton, just a short drive from Morpeth and Ponteland.
Recently awarded Pub of the Year 2024 at the North East Tourism Awards, and also winners of B&B and Guest House of the Year 2025, we’re proud to deliver an exceptional guest experience through quality, seasonal food and warm hospitality.
Please note: We are not accessible by public transport, so applicants must be able to commute independently.

What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard during service
- Assisting senior chefs with prep, stock control, and maintaining cleanliness
- Upholding health & safety, allergen, and hygiene protocols at all times
- Supporting a positive kitchen culture and contributing to team success
- Helping train junior kitchen members and learning from others
