This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency, and has strong experience working with grills, steaks, burgers, and high-volume service environments.
The Role
As a Grill Chef, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding dishes during service while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
You will be expected to work efficiently under pressure, communicate effectively with the wider kitchen team, and consistently deliver dishes to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook food items to company specifications
- Operate grill and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all dishes are presented to a high standard and served consistently
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to management
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Follow all food safety, allergen, and HACCP procedures
- Support with prep duties, stock rotation, and end-of-shift cleaning
- Ensure all food is stored, labelled, and handled correctly
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Grill Chef, Line Chef, or Chef de Partie in a busy restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat temperatures, and food preparation
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Passion for quality food and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate preferred
