About This Role
We are looking for compassionate and dependable Healthcare Assistants to join a dedicated 2:1 care team supporting a gentleman in his 30s in his home in Leigh.
He is a big music fan with an impressive LP collection and enjoys listening to a wide range of genres, most notably Elvis Presley. He also enjoys following Manchester United, watching his favourite TV series, getting out into the community, going for meals, and spending time socialising with his care team. A good sense of humour and the ability to build a genuine connection are especially important to him.
In this role, you will provide person-centred care tailored to his individual needs and routines. Alongside supporting his clinical interventions, you’ll assist with daily living tasks, meal preparation, household activities, and helping him enjoy an active social life.
Night shifts involve supporting his bedtime routine, providing reassurance and companionship, monitoring his clinical needs, and ensuring he remains safe, comfortable, and settled throughout the night.
We’re looking for patient and empathetic individuals who are confident delivering complex clinical care and passionate about making a positive difference through compassionate, respectful support.
Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is desirable.
Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.
The specific clinical competencies required for our client are:
- Tracheostomy care
- Chest physio
- Catheter care
- Oral suctioning
- Oxygen experience
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle
