Job Summary
The StF Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the wider StF Programme workstreams, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of projects across the Programme. The postholder will work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
The role requires skills in project planning, project coordination, stakeholder management skills, ensuring that all activities align with programme requirements, technical standards, and Trust priorities.
The postholder will be responsible for liaising with workstream leads, stakeholders, consultants and specialist advisors to support the smooth progression of project workstreams.
While the role does not include direct line management responsibilities, the postholder may be required to coordinate external specialist consultants and project resources to ensure successful delivery within the programme structure.

Key Responsibilities
The general responsibilities of the postholder will be:
Programme & Project Delivery
- Lead and coordinate programme-related projects through feasibility, task planning, execution and evaluation.
- Manage inputs, ensuring alignment with project objectives, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide budget and resource management in accordance with project objectives.
- Oversee project planning and reporting, ensuring timely updates on programme progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including CDM and Trust policies, throughout all project phases.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including Trust Estates, IT, operational teams, and external consultants, to ensure effective collaboration and project progression.
- Lead user engagement and requirements capture, ensuring that project design and delivery align with operational needs.
- Work closely with the StF Communications team to maintain up-to-date programme communications, including web updates and stakeholder briefings.
- Facilitate and lead project meetings and workshops, ensuring stakeholder alignment and input into the wider programme.
Risk & Change Management
- Identify and mitigate technical and project-related risks, ensuring robust risk management across project workstreams.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring the transition to new facilities aligns with evolving operational needs.
- Work with the Transformation team to identify opportunities for innovation and service improvement within the programme.
Programme Governance & Reporting
- Ensure alignment with NHS England and NHP reporting requirements, preparing structured updates and reports as needed.
- Monitor and track project budgets, supporting financial oversight and cost control as required.
- Manage external consultants and specialist advisors, ensuring project deliverables are met in accordance with programme objectives.
Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support move planning and operational readiness activities, ensuring a seamless transition to the new facilities.
- Champion continuous improvement and lessons learned, ensuring best practice is shared across the programme.
- Attend and represent the programme at relevant meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements as required.
The role does not include direct line management responsibilities but does require leadership and coordination of specialist consultants (as needed) and project teams to drive successful delivery. The StF Project Manager will need to operate with a high degree of autonomy and initiative, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards.
