About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and technically minded Digital Print / Industrial Inkjet Operator to join our production team in Mansfield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our Giftec Leopard S630 single-pass digital inkjet printer, producing high-quality printed packaging and substrates in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a specialist role, but previous experience with a Giftec machine is not essential. We are particularly interested in operators who have experience with industrial inkjet, single-pass printing, HP industrial print technology, UV inkjet, digital packaging presses, flexographic presses or other high-speed production printing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the Giftec Leopard S630 single-pass digital printer
- Prepare and load substrates and ensure correct machine setup
- Select and adjust job parameters to achieve the required print quality
- Monitor print quality, registration, colour and production consistency
- Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of the printing system and printheads
- Monitor ink levels and printing systems
- Identify and resolve print defects and basic machine faults
- Carry out job changes efficiently and accurately
- Minimise waste and maximise machine uptime
- Complete production records and quality checks
- Work closely with production and technical teams to resolve more complex issues
- Follow company health & safety, quality and production procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is technically confident, hands-on and comfortable taking ownership of a production machine.
Experience in one or more of the following would be highly advantageous:
- Single-pass industrial inkjet printing
- HP industrial inkjet / HP PageWide technology
- HP FI1000 / A3 print bar technology
- Digital packaging printing
- UV inkjet printing
- Industrial digital presses
- Flexographic printing
- Carton, corrugated or flexible packaging production
- High-speed web or production printing
You should also have:
- Good mechanical and technical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Good understanding of print quality and colour
- Ability to diagnose and resolve machine/print problems
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for machine performance
- A strong focus on quality and minimising production waste
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, practical approach to problem solving
Pay: £34,500.00-£42,382.19 per year
