Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Truck Tyre Fitter / HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Tyre Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of commercial vehicle fleets. This energetic position involves traveling to various locations to inspect, repair, and replace truck and trailer tyres on-site. Your mechanical expertise, hands-on skills with tools, and commitment to excellent customer service will ensure our clients' vehicles stay on the road safely and reliably. Duties
- Travel to different client sites to carry out tyre inspections, repairs, and replacements on HGVs and trailers
- Remove and fit heavy truck tyres using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment with precision and safety in mind
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on tyres, including balancing, inflation, and tread assessments
- Identify tyre issues such as punctures, wear patterns, or sidewall damage and recommend appropriate solutions
- Assist customers with tyre-related queries, providing clear explanations and exceptional service
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, parts used, and inspections completed
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during on-site operations, including heavy lifting procedures
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of truck tyres, wheels, and related components
- Proficiency with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) and power tools (impact wrenches, pneumatic drills)
- Experience with vehicle maintenance tasks and tyre fitting procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods while handling large tyres and equipment
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Attention to detail for inspecting tyres thoroughly and ensuring quality standards are met
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
