Be at the heart of a busy integrated Urgent Treatment Centre
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and adaptable Operations Supervisor to join our integrated Urgent Treatment Centre (iUTC).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day running of a busy Urgent Treatment Centre, supporting the delivery of high-quality urgent treatment services for our local population. Working closely with the Digital & Operations Manager and IUTC Operations Manager, you will help ensure the smooth delivery of services, support staff across the centre, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
This role would suit an experienced operational coordinator or supervisor who enjoys being the person others turn to for support, problem-solving and keeping services running smoothly.
As the operational point of contact on site, you will support the smooth running of the service throughout the day, responding to issues as they arise and coordinating practical solutions. You will work closely with GPs, Advanced Healthcare Practitioners (AHPs), Healthcare Assistants (HCAs), reception and administrative teams, helping to maintain a safe, efficient and patient-focused environment. While line management responsibility will primarily sit with the reception team, you will provide day-to-day operational support across the wider workforce, responding to issues, escalating concerns where appropriate and helping staff access the support they need to deliver high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will be confident managing competing priorities, making decisions under pressure and adapting quickly to changing service demands.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing line management and support to the reception team.
- Coordinating staffing rotas, workforce planning and service cover.
- Monitoring operational performance and supporting service improvements.
- Acting as the operational point of contact for staff working across the IUTC, including GPs, AHPs, HCAs, reception and administrative teams.
- Responding to day-to-day operational challenges and coordinating solutions to maintain service continuity.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations to support high-quality patient care.
- Supporting compliance with organisational and HR policies, contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
About You
You will be an experienced supervisor, coordinator or operational professional with excellent organisational and communication skills. You may come from healthcare, social care, the public sector or another customer-focused operational environment and be able to demonstrate transferable skills.

Working Pattern
Part-time, 3 to 4 days per week.
Working days and hours will be agreed with the successful candidate; however, regular availability on Wednesdays and Fridays will be required as a minimum.
As the IUTC operates 365 days a year, from 8:00am to 10:00pm, the role will include one evening shift per week and either every Sunday or alternate Sundays as part of the rota.
