To carry out deliveries to customers across local areas and beyond.
Understand all processes surrounding accepting deliveries, including paperwork completion and Company procedure in the event of refusal and returns.
To ensure goods are stored in an organised manner and the warehouse remains free from clutter and trip hazards.
To be competent with delivery practices and accurately picking orders from client lists. Loading, unloading responsibilities, to include but not limited to delivery scheduling, loading practices, route planning and seeking payments prior to delivery, ensuring safe systems of work are always observed.
Ensure weekly vehicle checks are carried out using Company recording sheet and reporting any immediate concerns to the supervisor. Understand fuelling procedures for all Company vehicles.
To be fully competent in using Company specific computer system, to enable preparation and access of necessary despatch notes, sales orders, purchase orders, delivery notes, invoicing, stock checks and other Company specific information.
Answering telephone and responding to all enquiries in a timely manner. Working with colleagues across other departments. Competent in locking and unlocking Company premises
To be approachable, helpful and take the extra step for every customer. Maintain excellent customer relationships, with clear and effective verbal and written communication.
The wage is above the minimum.
The ability to speak Welsh is preferred but not essential
