Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Pub Cook to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and cooking food to high standards, ensuring a positive dining experience for our patrons. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment within a lively pub setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Support serving staff when required, including plating dishes and assisting with customer requests
- Contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere by maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant, pub, or catering environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong understanding of meal preparation and culinary techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as required
