This is a great time to join a food manufacturing business going through some serious change. As Production Team Leader, you'll take responsibility for delivering the production plan through your team, keeping safety, quality, output and efficiency moving in the right direction. You'll manage labour, waste, GMP and equipment performance while using KPIs and OEE to understand where improvements can be made.
People leadership is a huge part of this one. You'll coach and develop your team, tackle performance issues, drive engagement and create an environment where people are encouraged to challenge how things are done. You'll also work closely with other departments to solve problems, improve processes and make sure customer requirements are delivered.
There are two shift patterns available, so you can choose the one that works best for you:
- 8-hour rotating shifts: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00 and 22:00–06:00
- 12-hour Panama shifts: Rotating days and nights across a 2s and 3s pattern (more pay for this pattern)
To be successful, you'll need experience leading people within a production or manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG. You'll be comfortable working around automated production lines, using data to drive performance and coaching teams through change. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing will be valuable, while IOSH, HACCP Level 2, Continuous Improvement qualifications and experience with SAP or Infor M3 would all be advantageous.
