We are seeking a dedicated Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to the highest standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook food items using deep-frying techniques according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all fried foods are cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station, including sanitising equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor oil levels and quality, reporting any issues to management promptly
- Assist with other kitchen duties such as food preparation, plating, and serving as required
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards to ensure customer safety and satisfaction
- Manage stock levels of frying supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen supervisor
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential
- Experience with meal preparation and working in a busy kitchen environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, particularly fryers, is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Applicants should have good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
